If the Brokerage Is an Aircraft Carrier, Be a Fighter Jet.
I started FORWARD with a deliberate decision. Not to grow as fast as possible, but to build something where the standard never slips as we scale. Where every client, regardless of who they work with, receives the same level of attention, preparation, and market intelligence they would expect from me directly. That sounds simple. It is not.
It requires a team small enough that I know every active client, every live deal, every negotiation in motion. It requires systems tight enough that we are operating from the same data, the same strategy, the same real-time read of the market. And it requires people who share the standard, not just follow a process. That is what we built. Eight people. One standard. And that is where the analogy becomes real.
There is a version of this business built like an aircraft carrier. Large, powerful, capable of deploying immense resources. Impressive from the outside, and effective at scale. But when conditions change, when the market shifts, or when a deal demands precision and speed, it takes time to turn. Layers exist for a reason, but they come at a cost.
FORWARD was never designed to operate that way. We are built like a fighter jet. Small by design. Highly trained. Fully aligned. Every person on this team operates with the same intelligence, the same situational awareness, and the authority to act. When the market moves, we adjust immediately. When pricing strategy needs to shift, we recalibrate in real time. When a client needs a decision, they are not getting a summarized version of reality, they are getting it directly from someone inside the cockpit.
There is no drift in communication. No loss of context between handoffs. No separation between strategy and execution. Speed matters. Precision matters. But more than anything, alignment matters. Because in this market, in this industry, the difference is rarely information. It is how quickly and accurately you act on it.
